RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform image analysis for various CTC (circulating tumor cell) imaging and characterization projects
• Work with other engineers and scientists on image acquisition and data management
• Analyze various levels of cell images for collaborators/customers and providing them with reports based on data generated from the studies
• Build and maintain an image database for research and clinical studies
• Maintain proper scientific documentation, analyze, interpret and summarize experimental data
• Present summaries of results to team members within a group or in a multidisciplinary team-setting

REQUIREMENTS:

• BS in biological sciences and engineering or related fields
• Working knowledge of cell/tissue imaging, fluorescent and brightfield microscopy is very helpful
• Good understanding of cancer cell biology and morphology will be a plus
• Experience using computer systems and common image analysis tools
• Demonstrated ability to use and maintain complex optical and imaging instrumentation

Imaging Software Engineer

Comprehensive digital pathology solutions and advanced microscopic imaging systems will be at the core of On-Q-ity's emerging technologies. The ideal candidate will assist in the selection, design, creation, development and implementation of high-performance imaging systems for digital pathology and Circulating Tumor Cell imaging. The successful candidate will utilize expertise in software engineering, image processing, systems engineering skills, and contribute as a member of a highly collaborative team to work on the infrastructure for image processing and analysis. The ideal candidate should have both a solid practical background (demonstrated by several years of experience developing commercial applications) with extensive experience in medical imaging software development. The Imaging Software Engineer will develop systems and processes related to digital imaging, image processing and analysis. The primary task will require building a scalable clinical imaging system capable of handling significant amounts of data for internal application. The Candidate will actively participate in R&D efforts in developing computer aided image analysis algorithms.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• MS or higher degree in engineering, physics, or math, with 3-5+ years experience in development and implementation of image processing and pattern recognition algorithms
• Extensive experience programming in C/C++, Java, and/or Matlab with at least 3 years of industry experience in software engineering Experience in database design

Lead Research/Clinical Pathologist

On-Q-ity is searching for a Lead Research/ Clinical Pathologist to join its R&D team. We are in the forefront of applying the latest pathology techniques to biomarker development. This team is involved in discovering biomarker patterns, conducting analysis of human tumor samples in both retrospective and prospective clinical studies, guiding biomarker characterization and algorithm development. The successful candidate will provide input regarding pathological data and study design, play a lead role in guiding the utilization of automated digital pathology platforms, prepare study documents and co-author On-Q-ity discoveries as part of our internal efforts and external collaborations.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Experience in Clinical Diagnostics and Applied Research Programs
• Very strong computer application skills and experience with digital, automated pathology platforms, image analysis, and annotation
• Act as key member supplying pathology input for R&D Team on our current Tumor Tissue and Circulating Tumor Cell programs
• Develop strong working relationships with key collaborators and play lead role in managing collaborations from pathology perspective

Biostatistician

The right candidate will be responsible for evaluating clinical outcome and response datasets, and will be engaged in the statistical development of biomarker pattern algorithms. The position requires previous expertise in the practical applications of biostatistics. Previous experiences in Oncology programs are highly desirable. The position requires outstanding analytic skills, effective communication capabilities, and proven excellence in a collaborative environment.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

• B.S./M.S. degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, or Bioinformatics with a concentration in statistical methods
• Experience in biostatistics related to biomedical applications, clinical trials, and bioinformatics processing is preferred, but not required
• Experience with statistical source codes (SAS, R, and/or S-plus) is necessary, as are tools for discriminating patient populations and treatment outcome, response and methods for missing values, hypothesis testing, cross-validation, and correction for multiple comparisons

Senior Scientist/IHC Assay Development

The ideal candidate will initiate, manage and execute scientific research and development activities that are critical to the company's strategies. He/she will have extensive experience with double staining/ multi-color immunohistochemistry, will be responsible to identify best antigen retrieval conditions, to select primary antibodies or primers and amplification systems, and to devise strategy for digital image analysis for the development of robust IHC cancer marker assays for cancer/reference biomarkers.

Tissue Culture Senior Research Associate/Scientist

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience with tissue culture on multiple transformed cell lines and/or primary cells. He/she will select cell lines with the desired characteristics, maintain and propagate cell cultures, prepare cell blocks for immunohistochemistry controls and perform cell based assays, cell viability assays, ELISA, western blot, and IHC assays. He/she will clean, sterilize and maintain equipments in the cell culture facility. He/she will develop standard operating procedure for the growth and maintenance of cell lines. In addition, the candidate will maintain good record keeping in notebooks, manage the cell line inventory and database and monitor work to ensure utmost quality and adherence to GLP standards.

The candidate should possess excellent laboratory and data analysis skills, as well as organization, computer software and documentation skills, attention to details, ability to multi-task, excellent time management, and a strong work ethic. Prior experience with cell culture in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment is desirable.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Histotechnologist

In this position, the ideal candidate will be responsible for the development of IHC assays in the manual and automated format, as well as be responsible for the accessioning of specimens, embedding and sectioning of FFPE tissue samples, selecting antibodies and optimizing antigen retrieval and IHC staining for optimal assay sensitivity and specificity, imaging of the processed slides, and analyzing results of the stained slides. In addition, the candidate will maintain the equipments and laboratory supply. The candidate should keep excellent records in note books and monitor work to ensure utmost quality and adherence to GLP standards.
